Carla McAdams, E-RYT500
Carla discovered yoga as a teenager, and has been following a path of yoga and self-realization ever since. In 2005 she received her 500 hour professional certification from the Kripalu Center of Yoga & Health in Lenox, MA . Since then she has taken numerous classes and workshops in Anusara yoga, as well as studied Iyengar and Viniyoga styles of yoga. She delights in bringing yoga’s gifts to diverse populations, and has advanced certifications in Prenatal Yoga from the Himalayan Institute (2008), Yoga for Back Care and Scoliosis from Elise Browning Miller (2008), and completed the training " Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors" at Duke Integrative Medicine (2010). Carla is committed to creating a yoga experience whereby her students discover the strength. beauty, and joy of their inner selves through yoga. Off the mat, Carla’s passions include dancing, gardening, immersing herself in nature, and traveling anywhere-anytime.
Margy Smariga, RYT-500
Margy came to yoga in 1999 to find relief from back pain. She found the practice of yoga to be deeply nourishing and quickly became hooked. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Bagheera Yoga Studio/Pruyoga in 2006, and in 2009 she completed the American Viniyoga Institute’s 500-hour advanced teacher training with Gary Kraftsow. She continues to study with Kraftsow, who is a nationally know yoga therapist, and is working toward her certification in yoga therapy. In 2010, she completed Yoga of Awareness for Cancer Professional Training at Duke Integrative Medicine. Margy is honored to share her love of yoga with others and to help individuals of all ages and abilities discover the many benefits that yoga offers them.
Lana Lloyd
Lana Lloyd, RYT200, is a certified yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist. She initially pursued yoga as an alternative to higher impact fitness activities, and as a way to prevent sports related injuries. She found herself increasingly drawn to the way yoga nourishes the body while calming the mind and spirit. The balance and self-awareness yoga provides, both on and off the mat, have helped her find peace and grow as a person. Lana leads her classes with a spirit of good humor and fun, and encourages her students to enjoy a fluid and challenging practice.
Julie Kaus

Yoga found Julie in 2001. She completed her Anusara teacher training in 2003 and has been a psychotherapist for over 15 years. She incorporates “a journey to self” approach into both disciplines. She enjoys sharing the joy of yoga and teaching students the many physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga philosophy and practice. Julie is also a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and is a Life Force Level I Yoga Practitioner. For more info go to www.livingbalanced.org.
Kimmer Roberts
Kimmer has been practicing different styles of yoga off and on for the last 14 years. In 2008 she took her first Prana Flow class and immediately fell in love with the beauty, creativity and freedom of the practice “Yoga can be physically challenging, creative, nurturing and calming all at the same time.” In 2009 she completed her 200 hour E RYT in Prana Flow with Maria Garre as well as Anjali Restorative Yoga with Shannon Paige Schneider. She has completed an additional 300 hours of training with Shiva Rea, Maria Garre and Andrew McCauley and will officially complete 500 RYT by Spring of 2012. In addition to teaching yoga classes, she is training the Middletown High School wrestling team. When not teaching, Kimmer enjoys spending time with her family and nature at their farm in Middletown.

Leta Brown, Regina Crampton, and Beth Sakemiller

Leta Brown
Leta Brown has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years, and expanded that love of yoga bycompleting a certification course to teach children's yoga. She graduated from Appalachian State University in North Carolina with a degree in History, and completed graduate courses in education at Providence College in Rhode Island. She has worked in sales and management and as an educator. Besides digging around in the garden and practicing yoga, her favorite things to do are cooking with fresh foods, taking a walk with a great friend, and making her husband and children laugh.
Regina Crampton
Regina has been a part of the Middletown community for the past 34 years as a teacher at both Middletown Elementary and Middletown Primary Schools. She taught second grade for seven years, followed by 27 years as a first grade teacher.
Regina has also been a yoga student for the past 11 years with Carla McAdams. She credits yoga "with helping me find balance and strength and joy in my everyday life". So combining the two things she truly loves.....teaching children and doing yoga.....seems to be the "perfect next chapter in my life!" She completed a certification course to teach children's yoga in order to step into that next chapter.
Beth Sakemiller
Beth earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Salisbury University and a Master of Arts Teaching Degree from Frostburg State University. She holds a Maryland Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate for Elementary Education Grades 1-6 and Middle School. For the past 11 years, Beth has been teaching at Middletown Elementary School. She has also been enjoying the benefits of yoga for the past 8 years with her instructor, Carla McAdams. She is looking forward to expanding her role as an educator by providing yoga opportunities for children at Mountain Spirit Yoga, and has completed a certification course to teach yoga to children.
Sandy Ferris
Sandy Ferris has been teaching fitness classes for approximately 15 years. She discovered the joys of Pilates in the late 90s, and became certified to teach Pilates mat work by the Physicalmind Institute in 2002 and by Power Pilates in 2004. Her love of movement also prompted her to earn her 200 hour RYT and she teaches flow-style yoga at a local community center. She continues to maintain her NETA and AFAA certifications and also teaches step aerobics and senior fitness classes. She is committed to helping individuals maintain their health through a variety of movement styles.
Rob Johnson
Tai Chi is taught by Rob Johnson, a senior student of Master Joseph Dunphy, studying Xing-Yi Chuan, Chen and Yang styles of Tai Chi chuan, Ba Gua Chang and Internal Iron Palm. At Mountain Spirit Yoga he will teach the Yang Shistyle of Tai Chi Chuan, I-chuan standing meditaiotn, and Chi-Gung energy work.
